Tara Foundation is a voluntary organization registered in 2003. It is both an organization and a movement. Organisation because its volunteers specializing in philanthropic work share a common vision and movement because it stands determined to make a real difference in the lives of the disadvantaged.
We are an organization of concerned individuals opposed to agrochemical TNCs, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and chemical pesticides. We work with farmers’ organizations and networks with NGOs, support institutions, scientists, health workers/professionals, environmentalists, and academics
Our work is spread throughout India where we also focus on issues that demand urgent attention and follow-up action, solutions, and significant results like in (i) Elimination of Child Labour (ii) Trafficking (iii) Women Empowerment (iv) Disaster (v) Disability (vi) Environment (viii) Human Rights (ix) Hygiene and sanitation and (x) Sustainable Agriculture.
